Job summary

gpac is partnering with an industry leader in equipment manufacturing to hire an Electrical Design Engineer who will design electrical systems, develop PCB schematics, and optimize for manufacturability and testing.

You will bridge concept and production, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) while emphasizing robust design and verification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Strong understanding of DFM, PCB fabrication, and electronic testing methods.
• Experience with failure analysis, FMEA, and data-driven design decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving and multi-project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics, control systems, wiring harnesses, and PCB layouts.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and high yields.
• Build, test and troubleshoot prototypes and develop test fixtures.
• Create BOMs, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to integrate components.
• Support legacy and new product lines, assess obsolescence, and drive quality improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
