Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mid Level Electrical Design Engineer to tackle complex electrical problems and design multi-discipline systems for defense applications. You will craft top-level and sub-assemblies, document with industry tools, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of relevant experience or an MS with 2+ years, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/SolidWorks Electrical), and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering or STEM degree required.
• 4+ years direct experience or MS with 2+ years relevant exp.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or similar required.
• Ability to rapid-prototype and fabricate in a dynamic setting.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; Huntsville residence.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex electrical problems with off-the-shelf parts or custom solutions.
• Design power distribution, RF, logic/controls, analog and digital circuits.
• Use VNAs, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, network analyzers, lab power supplies.
• Create block diagrams for top-level and sub-assembly definitions.
• Document designs using KiCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, Visio or equivalents.
