Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for the Raptor 3D Printers in Hawthorne, CA. You will own electrical systems from concept to production, driving requirements, circuit design, qualification, and seamless integration into fabrication lines.

You will work across mechanical, software, automation, and controls to deliver high-performance hardware suited for demanding rocket engine production and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industry experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design new electrical hardware, PCBs, and implement modifications to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs.
• Own electronic hardware on additive machines from development through implementation.
• Drive changes to schematics and drawings to improve reliability and cost.
• Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate risk.
• Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, automation, additive, and other engineers to deliver integrated hardware.
