Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering calculations including load balancing, voltage drop, available short-circuit current, arc flash potential, and selective coordination for commercial and high-performance building projects.
• Design and upgrade electrical systems to improve energy efficiency and system performance, understanding power distribution from utility point-of-entry to end-use equipment.
• Apply core principles of electrical theory, including Kirchhoff’s Law, current flow, magnetism, and induction to transformer, motor, and distribution system design.
• Size and specify renewable energy components like photovoltaic systems, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure, with familiarity with LEED and energy conservation strategies.
• Design and specify low voltage electrical systems (600V and below) including various configurations.
• Select and size electrical distribution equipment, maintaining strong product knowledge across major manufacturers.
• Develop Division 26 specifications and electrical design documentation from concept to 90% completion.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure quality and deadlines within budget.
