What You’ll Be Doing

This role requires extensive experience in industrial projects, including designing power generation and medium voltage power distribution systems. Projects vary from small facility modifications to complex EPC contracts, with some travel to project and construction sites.

• Design and engineer medium voltage power generation systems for gas generator packages.
• Coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations and systems.
• Develop conceptual layouts and sketches to optimize design efficiency per project.
• Participate in planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of electrical engineering projects.
• Deliverables include: one-line diagrams, protective relay settings, three-line diagrams, arc flash assessments, and mitigations.
• Perform power energy and power quality audits.
• Develop equipment specifications, construction specifications, and contractor scope of work documents.
• Oversee the preparation of drawings and selection of equipment and materials, including procurement activities and technical bid analysis.
• Inspect completed installations for compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.
• Work with grounding requirements (high resistance, building, and isolated grounding).
• Provide on-site startup support and supervision during commissioning.

Your Ideal Background

• Ability to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision.
• Well-organized with proven ability to meet deadlines, operate within budgets, and collaborate directly with client engineers and maintenance teams.
• PE license in good standing.
