Job summary

RMF Engineering, Inc in Boston, MA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for building and utility infrastructure projects. You will calculate loads, perform field surveys, and provide construction-phase support.

Domestic and international travel is required; a BS in Electrical Engineering and professional registration or the ability to obtain is expected. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000.

Qualifications

• 3+ years design experience with electrical systems
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• BSEE and 5+ years of related experience
• Professional registration or ability to obtain registration
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM a major plus
• Experience in Autodesk Revit software

RMF Engineering, Inc is seeking is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary range, $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
• Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
• Performing field surveys and construction phase support

Required Qualifications:

• 3 Years minimum design experience with electrical systems
• BS in Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally will be required
• Minimum requirements include a BSEE and 5 years of related experience
• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
• Experience in Autodesk Revit software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PE registration
• Higher Ed and Healthcare design experience
• Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices
• Strong teamwork, communications, and client relationship skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
