Job summary

RMF Engineering, Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our office.

The salary range is $100,000-$120,000 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and a 401K plan. You will design power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems, perform load calculations, and support field surveys and construction phases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical design experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.

RMF Engineering, Inc is seeking is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary range, $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules


• Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls


• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls


• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop


• Performing field surveys and construction phase support

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3 Years minimum design experience with electrical systems


• BS in Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university


• Ability to travel domestically and internationally will be required


• Minimum requirements include a BSEE and 5 years of related experience


• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration


• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus


• Experience in Autodesk Revit software

Preferred Qualifications

• PE registration


• Higher Ed and Healthcare design experience


• Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems


• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices


• Strong teamwork, communications, and client relationship skills


• Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
