Position Summary

RMF Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our South Carolina office.

Responsibilities

• Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
• Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
• Perform field surveys and support during construction

Required Qualifications

• 0-5 years of design experience with electrical systems
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
• Ability to provide own local transportation to the office and project sites
• Ability to obtain necessary government security clearances if required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Revit and AutoCAD
• PE registration
• Higher education and healthcare design experience
• Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices
• Strong teamwork, communication, and client relationship skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
