Job summary

RMF Engineering, based in Boston, MA, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for building and utility infrastructure. The position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year and requires a BSEE with 3+ years of design experience, along with the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities include power distribution, lighting design, low-voltage systems, load calculations, and field surveys with construction phase support.

RMF Engineering, Inc is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary range, $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
• Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
• Performing field surveys and construction phase support

Required Qualifications:

• 3 Years minimum design experience with electrical systems
• BS in Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally will be required
• Minimum requirements include a BSEE and 5 years of related experience
• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
• Experience in Autodesk Revit software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PE registration
• Higher Ed and Healthcare design experience
• Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices
• Strong teamwork, communications, and client relationship skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
