Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead the analysis, design and verification of aerospace-grade digital electronics and hardware systems in El Segundo, CA. You will drive architecture, detailed design, and testing activities to ensure strict adherence to requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in digital electronics, circuit design, and verification, with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware Design.
• Duties include electronics design, requirements/interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification.
• Experience with circuit design and analysis.

Position type: Fulltime, Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Location: El Segundo California, Onsite

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Leads analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
• Leads development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
• Leads reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements.
• Identifies, tracks and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Leads activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.

The ideal candidate will have

• Assembles, installs, tests, checks out and inspects mechanical spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures
• Performs second party verifications and visually inspects mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures
• Operates various materials handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lift equipment, flight vehicle and sub-assembly transportation equipment, truck/tractor trailer combinations and other GSE as required
• Operates a wide range of machine tools. Included but not limited to, drill press, grinders, chop saw, power, and hand tools
• Interfaces and/or works closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement and Shipping personnel on procedural issues involving design, methods, tooling, cost, and other areas involved in the control of product quality

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware Design and development of state-of-the art digital circuit & unit hardware / digital electronics for aerospace applications
• Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
• Experience with circuit design and analysis

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware
• Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics
• Experience with circuit design and analysis
• Experience with Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: Between $85 per hour-$90 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
