Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Quality Engineer in Clifton, NJ on a full-time, 8-month contract. The role requires extensive quality experience across assembly, test, and evaluation of electronics and mechanical assemblies, plus clearance to obtain security credentials.

You will lead root-cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and mentor others in quality processes. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a full benefits package, including health and retirement options.

• Security Clearance required upon hire: Ability to Obtain IPC 610 and J-Std experience.
• Experience with depot support and working with DCMA.
• Customer interface is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes robust quality evaluation and control systems for assembly, integration, and test of complex electronic & mechanical assemblies.
• Leads support activities across programs including hardware inspections, incoming material evaluation, electrical testing, and inspection of build of assemblies.
• Oversees FRB/MRB activities and drives systemic corrective actions across the organization.
• Applies RCCA methods to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Generates presentations, technical reports, and in-depth case studies.
• Uses KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and direct corrective actions.
• Provides training and guidance on quality processes to staff.
• Leads continuous improvement projects and supports ZDP execution.
• Communicates with internal teams and external stakeholders (DCMA, customers, vendors) as needed.
• Ensures timely issue resolution without compromising quality.

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

Duration: 8 months

Location: Clifton, NJ 07014 (Onsite)

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

• Establishes robust quality evaluation and control systems for assembly, integration, and test of complex electronic & mechanical assemblies
• Leads support activities across programs ranging from hardware inspections, evaluation of incoming material, electrical test, and inspection of build of assemblies
• Expert with FRB/MRB activities, overseeing issue closure and strategic cross-company implementation of systemic preventive corrective actions
• Expert RCCA practitioner of problem-solving methodologies
• Strong performance history with generating professional presentations, technical reports, and in-depth case studies
• Uses metrics to identify signals and initiate tactical course corrections and manages key performance areas (KPIs) to meet established goals
• Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees related to all quality processes
• Initiates complex projects and leads continuous improvement activities including driving ZDP execution in accordance with business strategy
• Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., DCMA, prime customers, key vendors, etc.) when necessary
• Supports team efforts to achieve efficient resolution of issues without compromise to quality.

• Expertise with IPC standards for hi-performance soldering, coating, connector assembly

• CAM/ BOE/Proposal Experience

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

*Pay Range*: $45-$50 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
