Our client is a well-established commercial electrical services organization serving the Nashville and greater Middle Tennessee market. The company is seeking an experienced, results-driven Service Manager to lead a growing service division and strengthen its reputation for responsive service, reliable execution, and long-term customer relationships.

What Makes You a Good Fit?
  • COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE: At least five years of service management, operations management, or project management experience within the commercial electrical industry.
  • FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP: Demonstrated experience managing departmental revenue, gross profit, budgets, forecasts, expenses, and overall profit-and-loss performance.
  • TEAM DEVELOPMENT: A hands‑on leader who establishes clear expectations, builds accountability, coaches employees, and develops field and office talent.
  • CUSTOMER GROWTH: Ability to strengthen existing customer relationships, develop new accounts, and expand recurring‑revenue programs and service offerings.
Role

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, this full‑time, exempt position reports to the Area Manager. The Service Manager is accountable for the department's profitability, growth, customer satisfaction, and overall performance. The role leads service operations, business‑development initiatives, budgeting and forecasting, and personnel development while working closely with field personnel, office staff, executive leadership, and customers.

Responsibilities
  • LEADERSHIP: Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all Service Division personnel.
  • PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and professional‑development plans.
  • CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Qualifications
  • INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of service management, operations management, or project management experience in commercial electrical contracting.
  • P&L MANAGEMENT: Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, and profit‑and‑loss responsibility.
  • OPERATIONAL KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of electrical service operations, estimating, project management, and customer relationship management.
  • TECHNOLOGY: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service‑management software platforms such as ServiceTitan.
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Strong coaching, negotiation, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication abilities.
  • WORK STYLE: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced service environment and communicate effectively with customers, employees, field personnel, and executive leadership.

  • FIELD CONDITIONS: Regular work in outdoor environments with potential exposure to hot and cold temperatures, noise above 85 decibels, intense odors, limited visibility, and constrained working surfaces.
  • ACCESS AND MOBILITY: Ability to climb stairs and ladders and access trenches or elevated platforms, including scaffolding at significant heights.
  • LIFTING: Ability to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
  • DRIVING: If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required; drivers are subject to a motor‑vehicle‑record review.
  • SAFETY: Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, and environmental health and safety policies.
