Job summary

Ilocatum in Boston is seeking an Electrical Department Head to lead the office's electrical design for data center projects, combining department leadership with hands-on design on the largest programs.

You will set technical direction for electrical design, serve as the senior electrical contact for data center clients, and sign as engineer of record. Hybrid work with relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of electrical design experience with substantial data center work.
• Licensed Professional Engineer required.
• Experience with medium voltage distribution and protective relaying.
• Experience designing redundant power systems for tiered facilities.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of Revit and BIM.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on large data center projects from early planning through construction.
• Set the technical direction for electrical design and sign as engineer of record.
• Mentor and grow the department's engineers and designers; review drawings, Revit models, and calculations.
