Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks an Electrical Department Head for our Boston office, combining department leadership with hands-on data center design on the firm’s largest projects. You will set the technical direction for electrical design, act as the senior electrical contact for clients, and sign as engineer of record.

This role offers hybrid work (up to two remote days) in Boston and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of electrical design experience in data centers.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing a department.

Responsibilities

• Department leadership: own design guidelines and quality reviews; mentor engineers and designers.
• Project delivery: lead electrical design on large data center projects from planning through construction.
• Medium voltage and protection: design up to 35 kV, specify transformers, switchgear, and protective schemes.
