Job summary

RJM Technologies is seeking a Construction Deputy Project Leader to oversee electrical construction across data center projects in the Washington, DC metro area. You will coordinate with project leadership, field teams, general contractors, customers, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; ABET-accredited preferred.
• 5+ years electrical construction experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with large-scale data center construction projects preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Ability to develop project schedules and resource plans.
• Ability to estimate project work and prepare customer proposals.
• Understanding of critical path analysis and potential schedule/resource issues.
• Ability to discuss schedules, costs, and budgets with leadership.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical construction projects or portions of large data center projects.
• Manage phases of project lifecycle: proposal, design, planning, installation, closeout.
• Prepare project documentation: requirements, manpower, layouts, schedules, equipment plans.
• Coordinate and participate in project kick-off meetings.
• Develop work breakdown structures and resource plans to establish baselines.
• Schedule resources and monitor performance against schedules.
• Track baselines vs actual progress and costs.
• Prepare site surveys, forecasts, and progress reports.
• Coordinate permits, licenses, inspections, and procurement of major materials.
• Review schedules with general contractors and customers as required.
• Support closeout activities: punch lists, as-builts, O&M manuals.
