Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC seeks a Deputy Project Leader/Manager to oversee electrical construction projects across diverse facilities, from bidding to closeout.

You will drive planning, staffing, scheduling, and cost control while coordinating with leaders and clients. The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ electrical construction experience, strong PM skills, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera; Power BI, AutoCAD, and EDMS familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• 5+ years of electrical construction experience with a related degree.
• Proficient with MS Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Ability to create project schedules and resource allocations by hours.
• Experience estimating work and preparing customer proposals.
• Understanding critical path analysis and budget implications.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor evaluation.
• Ability to draft technical documentation and design references.

Responsibilities

• Administer and implement small electrical construction projects or parts of larger ones.
• Manage one or more phases of a project lifecycle: proposal, design, solutioning, installation and close.
• Assist with project documentation, requirements, manpower, layouts, schedules and field offices.
• Lead or coordinate project kick-off meetings and establish a baseline plan.
• Develop a WBS with work packages and resource assignments.
• Assist with scheduling resources to maintain the baseline schedule.
• Create baseline vs actual reporting on resources and progress.
• Provide site surveys, cost studies, forecasts, cost codes and reports.
• Support data collection for self-perform and contractor work.
• Monitor scope, cost, schedule and performance against the plan.
• Develop and maintain project artifacts including shop drawings and manuals.
• Assist with major material procurement and tools/equipment needs.
• Obtain required permits and ensure timely inspections.
• Coordinate with estimators/engineers to resolve issues and optimize procedures.
• Review schedules with GCs or customers as requested.
• Analyze data from multiple systems to derive progress insights.
• Ensure timely punch lists, as-builts, and training materials.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvements.
