Job summary

Unknown Contractor in Washington, DC is seeking a Deputy Project Leader/Manager to oversee complex electrical construction projects from initiation to closeout. You will lead scheduling, cost control, and procurement while coordinating design, field work, and client communications for multimillion‑dollar programs.

The role requires strong leadership, solid PM skills, and experience with MS Project/Primavera, Power BI, and AutoCAD. Eligible for a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering/CS field with ABET accreditation.
• 5+ years electrical construction experience.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Ability to create project schedules and resource loading.
• Ability to estimate work and prepare customer proposals.
• Understanding of critical path analysis and scheduling impacts.
• Procurement knowledge and supplier evaluation experience.
• Strong written/spoken communications and leadership skills.
• Experience with multiple PM tools and cost control practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer small electrical construction projects or portions of larger ones.
• Manage project phases from proposal through closeout as needed.
• Prepare documentation, requirements, schedules, and layouts.
• Lead or assist with project kick-off meetings and WBS development.
• Resource loading and baseline schedule management.
• Report baseline vs actual progress and costs.
• Coordinate site surveys, cost studies, and forecasts.
• Oversee data integration from company systems to track progress.
• Prepare as‑built drawings, manuals, and training materials.
• Assist with permits, inspections, and procurement.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and best practices.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and issues mitigated.
