Job summary

Helix Electric in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an Electrical Craft Recruiter to source, screen, and place licensed/unlicensed electricians, apprentices, and laborers for field operations. This role partners with Field Leadership to align workforce needs with project demands and oversees in-person trade skill assessments and manpower planning.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of recruiting experience in construction, strong knowledge of electrical trades, and experience with ATS like UKG,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction or skilled trades.
• Experience recruiting field employees, craft professionals, or skilled labor populations.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction trades, workforce planning, and staffing for projects.
• Experience conducting candidate interviews and evaluating trade-related competencies.
• Familiarity with workforce management and applicant tracking systems (UKG, ProCore, RiskCast or similar).
• Knowledge of employment laws including EEO, OFCCP, and affirmative action requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for electrical craft positions (Journeymen, Licensed Electricians, Apprentices, Helpers, Laborers, Leads).
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract craft talent in Arizona markets and project locations.
• Source candidates via referrals, trade schools, job boards, social media, events and community partnerships.
• Conduct screenings, interviews, reference checks, and hiring recommendations.
• Coordinate and administer in-person electrical skills assessments and trade evaluations.
• Lead manpower planning meetings with project leadership to review staffing levels and forecasts.
• Maintain regular communication with site supervisors regarding labor needs and performance feedback.
• Track recruiting metrics and maintain documentation in ATS and workforce systems.
