Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Missouri to examine, troubleshoot, design, and repair AC/DC circuits, including remote control, industrial controls, PLC, CNC, and robot processors. You will install production equipment and edit machine language programs, and set up computer systems and software.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or equivalent by GED.
• An associate degree in electrical or electronics or four years practical experience plus two years of electronics training with an emphasis in PLC programming.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the essential job functions.
• On the job training to include additional training as assigned, when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper use of safety PPE and hazardous waste handling.
• Review work assignments, logs, overdue reports, equipment availability, and work orders to plan completion.
• Initiate repairs and adjustments to maintain optimal performance of equipment.
• Identify and report material irregularities and equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Assemble and connect fixtures, electrical controls and apparatus including switches, relays, circuit breakers, power cables and grounds.
• Examine, troubleshoot or test equipment using electrical knowledge and sensing instruments to determine cause of failure or malfunction.
• Perform servicing, repairs, adjustments, alignments, and calibration of electrical or electronic circuitry per blueprints, schematics, or wiring diagrams.
• Assemble circuitry according to engineering specifications and knowledge of electronic systems.
• Set up VFD drives and programming.
