Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping production equipment and facility systems running safely and reliably. The role blends electrical controls expertise with mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime across PLCs, drives, motors, and sensors.

You will read schematics, calibrate instrumentation, program PLCs and HMIs, and coordinate with electricians and vendors while maintaining thorough service records.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred).
• Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, sensors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Strong safety practices including lockout/tagout.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and controls on production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI systems.
• Coordinate with outside electricians and vendors.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
