Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Batavia, IL is seeking an on-site Industrial Automation Technician to support production equipment. The position requires working the 3rd shift and accepting overtime; candidates should live within 37 miles of Batavia.

You will install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, PLC I/O modules, HMIs, and associated control wiring. You will read electrical schematics and work with 480V three-phase power, drives and servo motors, performing

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems required.
Experience with packaging equipment maintenance preferred.
Strong understanding of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE) preferred.
Proficient with electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, PLC I/O, and control wiring.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors, drives, and soft starts.
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
Modify PLC logic in ladder diagrams.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HMI/graphic interfaces and protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
