Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks an on-site technician in Geneva, IL to install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity sensors, PLC I/O modules, and related control wiring. You will diagnose analog/digital controls in 480V, 3-phase systems, motors, VFDs, and servo drives, with PLC/HMI programming duties.
Requirements include a high school diploma and hands-on PLC/servo experience; familiarity with packaging equipment and safety protocols is preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficient with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and servo systems.
- Experience troubleshooting analog and digital controls.
- Experience with electrical schematics and power distribution.
- Familiar with packaging equipment in manufacturing environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of sensors and PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC/HMI interfaces and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
- Modify ladder logic programming and graphics for HMI interfaces.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
