Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling's IMC plant in Godfrey, IL is seeking an Industrial Mechanic - Electrical Controls for the second shift to maintain and repair equipment and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, experience with conveyors, 480V 3-phase motors, and Lockout/Tagout procedures, plus willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical repair in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with 480V 3-phase motors and motor control systems.
• Multi-craft maintenance focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
• PLC programming is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 15–50 lbs and work in challenging environments.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment and systems (electrical & mechanical).
• Service trailers and repair/replace industrial equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues with testing devices.
• Maintain conveyors: install belts, adjust, replace parts.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures for safety.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Work in indoor/outdoor environments with extreme temps and hazards.
