Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for the second shift in Godfrey, IL. You will lead maintenance technicians, coordinate reactive and preventive work, and drive root cause analysis to maximize equipment uptime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include supervising 2 direct reports, troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems, repairing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience with: Industrial electrical systems up to 480VAC 3-phase; 120VAC and 24VDC control circuits; Hydraulics and pneumatics; Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Proven experience leading Root Cause Analysis investigations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians (currently 2 direct reports).
• Coordinate and prioritize reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
• Respond to machine breakdowns and lead troubleshooting to restore production.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Work with production leadership to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company maintenance procedures.
• Maintain maintenance documentation, PM records, and spare parts inventory.
• Coach and mentor technicians while supporting workforce development.
