Job summary
Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the second shift in Godfrey, IL. The role leads maintenance technicians, coordinates preventive and reactive maintenance, and drives RCA actions to maximize equipment uptime while meeting safety and quality goals.
The position reports to the maintenance leadership team and requires strong PLC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills, along with experience in a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with RCA investigations and corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians (2 direct reports).
- Coordinate and prioritize reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and lead troubleshooting to restore production.
- Lead RCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Ensure OSHA and safety compliance; maintain PM records and spare parts inventory.
- Coach and mentor technicians and support workforce development.
