Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's JLG unit is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer Intern to support the development and testing of control systems for mobile elevating platforms. The role combines office tasks with field activities, emphasizing safety, clear communication, and teamwork.

You will engage with CAD tools such as Creo Parametric, Pro-E or CATIA and learn to interpret electrical schematics while contributing to ongoing control-system projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, robotics, controls engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to build and install wire harnesses.
• Willingness to learn and operate a Digital-Multimeter (DMM).

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and enforce shop safety practices and policy.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Assist in testing of electric over hydraulic control systems on new equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls related process and component issues.
