Job summary

Amazon.com LLC – A03 in Nashville seeks an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of power distribution and control systems for material handling projects.

You will integrate EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, IPCs, PLCs, and SCADA, ensure NEC/NFPA compliance, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across mechanical, software, and project management teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
4+ years designing electrical and controls for industrial/material handling systems.
Experience with EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET networks.
Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 standards and electrical code compliance.
Experience with 3-phase and single-phase power distribution design.

Responsibilities

Design power and controls systems for material handling projects, including 3-phase and single-phase distribution.
Develop electrical layouts, schematics, control architectures, and panel standardization.
Create modular, scalable power distribution prioritizing reliability and maintainability.
Establish panel placement, grounding, and safety circuit design best practices.
Review electrical and controls drawings, specs, and submittals; ensure NEC compliance.
