Zen Sherpa LLC is seeking an Electrical & Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for plant electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and controls. The role emphasizes reliability, modernization, and safe operation across several production areas.

You will oversee design reviews, capital project execution, and compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA, and IEEE standards, while coordinating contractors and suppliers to deliver major automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical, automation, or control systems engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial networks.
• Proven success leading engineering teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop electrical, controls, and automation engineering staff.
• Oversee electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Direct PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architecture.
• Approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA, IEEE standards.
• Coordinate contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
• Support reliability improvements, root‑cause analysis, and change management.
