Zen Sherpa LLC in Seattle, WA seeks an Electrical & Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for plant electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, and controls, driving reliability, modernization, and safe operation across multiple production areas.

You will oversee engineering staff, manage capital projects from concept through commissioning, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA and IEEE standards while coordinating with contractors and suppliers to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electrical, automation, or control systems engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop electrical, controls, and automation engineering staff.
• Oversee electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Direct PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architecture.
• Approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Manage capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ISA, IEEE standards.
• Coordinate contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
• Support reliability improvements, root-cause analysis, and change management.
