JST Manufacturing is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join our Meridian, Idaho team. You will design electrical power and control systems for custom precision cleaning and wet processing equipment used in semiconductor-related industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of electrical power distribution, control circuits, relay logic, and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with PLC hardware, including digital and analog I/O.
• Knowledge of electrical components, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
• Understanding of electrical safety principles and applicable electrical codes.
• Familiarity with control circuit wiring and relay contact logic.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution and control systems for custom equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PLC I/O lists, and related docs.
• Review customer specs and develop concepts meeting safety and manufacturing capabilities.
• Select electrical components, sensors, instrumentation, and PLC hardware.
• Support integration of electrical controls with mechanical/process equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to resolve design challenges.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, engineering docs, and manuals.
• Use ERP to create project BOMs and coordinate with suppliers.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance performance and processes.
