Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to maintain automation equipment and manage PLC/HMI systems. You will back up automation programs, inspect hardware, and coordinate upgrades for new processes and machines.

You will work with diverse protocols and vendors, performing robot programming and commissioning, and ensuring reliability of backup systems. This role requires hands-on maintenance and upgrade planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electrical control software.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automation equipment maintenance.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and robot programming for production lines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation equipment and manage spare parts and operations.
• Back up or revise automation program and ensure reliability of backups.
• Inspect hardware and perform software maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Program and commission PLCs, HMIs, and robots for new processes.
• Develop modification or upgrade and inspection plans.
• Oversee purchase requests for automation equipment and parts.
