Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a skilled Controls Technician/Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot complex equipment across manufacturing lines. You will focus on PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, robotics, and vision systems while supporting electrical and mechanical power systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, strong problem-solving abilities, and readiness to travel up to 5% for training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Experience with relay logic, PLCs, and HMIs (Allen-Bradley).
• Knowledge of servo drives, robotics, and vision systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (<5%).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and facility systems with emphasis on controls.
• Troubleshoot and modify existing equipment including PLC/relay logic, servo drives, and robotics.
• Assist engineering and operations with process improvements.
• Consult with automation suppliers to specify products and arrange purchases.
• Participate in continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Occasional travel for training purposes (<5%).
