We are seeking an experienced Automation ControlsEngineer to support the design, programming, troubleshooting,commissioning, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems. This roleis responsible for maintaining and improving PLC-controlled equipment,robotics, sensors, HMIs, and Smart Factory technologies to maximize equipmentuptime, production efficiency, system reliability, and product quality.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strongPLC and industrial automation experience who can diagnose complexcontrol-system issues, implement effective corrective actions, and collaborateacross engineering, production, quality, and external vendor teams.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Control Systems
- Design,develop, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain PLC-based control systemsfor automated manufacturing equipment.
- Programand debug PLC applications, with LS ELECTRIC experience preferred.
- Supportthe integration, configuration, and operation of sensors, actuators,HMIs, robotics, and other industrial control devices.
- Assistwith the installation, startup, setup, commissioning, and validation ofautomated production equipment.
- Diagnoseelectrical and controls-related equipment failures and implement reliablecorrective solutions.
- Maintainand improve control-system functionality to support safe and consistentproduction.
Production System Optimization
- Analyzeautomation and equipment failures to determine root causes and implementcorrective and preventive actions.
- Optimizeautomated systems to improve equipment stability, cycle time,throughput, and overall reliability.
- Supportinitiatives designed to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)through controls and automation enhancements.
- Identifyopportunities for process automation, equipment upgrades, and systemimprovements.
- Evaluateexisting automation processes and recommend improvements that increaseproductivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Smart Factory & MES Support
- SupportSmart Factory and digital manufacturing initiatives throughout theproduction environment.
- Assistwith Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration, datacollection, equipment connectivity, and system communication.
- Supportreal-time production monitoring and the flow of automation and equipmentdata.
- Helptroubleshoot connectivity and communication issues between manufacturingequipment, controls, MES, and other digital systems.
- Contributeto the implementation and continuous improvement of connectedmanufacturing technologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaboratewith Mechanical Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, andother cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and equipmentissues.
- Providecontrols and automation expertise during production troubleshooting andimprovement activities.
- Workclosely with production teams to identify recurring equipment issues anddevelop sustainable solutions.
- Coordinatewith equipment manufacturers, automation vendors, and external supplierswhen specialized support is required.
- Communicatetechnical findings, recommendations, and project status effectively totechnical and non-technical stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensureelectrical, automation, and control systems operate in compliance withapplicable safety standards, regulations, and company requirements.
- Identifypotential automation-related hazards and implement measures to eliminateor reduce risk.
- Supportsafe installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operation ofautomated production equipment.
- Promotea strong culture of safety throughout all controls and automationactivities.
