Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical controls for new equipment and upgrades. The role covers schematic generation, BOM creation, PLC/HMI programming, and on-site start-up and support.

Travel up to 25% is required to manufacturing sites for startup, installation and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or 7+ years of hands-on control systems experience, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

Minimum Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years’ experience designing, programming, and implementing control systems.
Experience with PLCs (PLC5, SLC500, CLogix, Siemens S7, TI-505, Modicon).
Experience with HMI (CTC Interact, PanelView Plus, WinCC Flex).
Experience with network protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet).
Knowledge of NEC/NFPA/UL standards and machine safety.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops all aspects of electrical engineering for new projects and upgrades.
Generates electrical schematics and BOMs per company standards.
Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to resolve quality/productivity issues.
Troubleshoots and implements solutions for equipment problems.
Coordinates with maintenance, contractors, and operations.
Trains staff on new technologies.
Implements OEE improvements via control methods and layouts.
Possesses strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
