Job summary

Krones, Inc. seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and troubleshoot automation for packaging lines, conveyors, labelers, and inspection equipment in a hybrid US-based role in Franklin, WI.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of controls experience, with Siemens S7/TIA and travel up to 20%. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years as a Controls Engineer.
• Experience with electric control circuits, VFDs, PLC and HMI programming.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and abroad.
• Siemens S7, TIA experience; familiarity with B&R, UL 508, ISO 13849; SAP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design, PLC and HMI programming for packaging machinery.
• Start-up and troubleshoot automation control systems.
• Coordinate integration projects across machines and customer equipment.
• Review customer specifications and define system requirements.
• Create/modify electrical schematics and PLC programs.
• Provide on-site engineering support during installation and testing.
• Verify that the project meets customer requirements and schedule.
