Job summary

Koops, Inc. designs, develops, and debugs control systems for end-of-line packaging equipment across multiple industries. We seek a talented, collaborative engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and delivering high-quality automation solutions.

You will design control systems, program PLCs and HMIs, and develop electrical layouts using CAD tools. Travel ~25% for on-site startup and customer support, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent applicable work experience.
• Five years of controls engineering experience in automation.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug control systems for end of line packaging equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, and motion control systems.
• Develop electrical layouts and detailed schematics using CAD software.
• Integrate sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems into automation solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, project, and build teams.
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support on-site debugging and system startup as needed (travel ~25%).
