Job summary

Blueprint Automation designs, develops and manufactures case packers and tray packing solutions with advanced automation including motion control, robotics, and PLC systems. The Controls Engineer will design control schemes, program automation logic, and support customers across projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering with motion controls, PLC programming (Ladder/Structured Text), and familiarity with Keba Robotics and ControlLogix platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop design, specifications, and control schemes for automation equipment.
• Program automation logic to control packaging machines and communicate information between systems over networks.
• Approve the design of electrical/control-wiring schematics for packaging systems.
• Develop HMI to meet functional requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers in areas of expertise.
• Assure high quality in the testing phase.
• M ake customer site visits to help solve in-field issues.
• High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs.
• Participate in lessons-learned meetings after project completion.
• Travel up to 15% may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
