Job summary

Actalent is seeking an intermediate Electrical Engineer to develop detailed designs for low and medium voltage switchgear and controls for generator-powered systems. You will create schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for submittals and construction drawings, while coordinating with purchasing and suppliers to finalize components.

You will implement power system control schemes, ensure code compliance (NFPA, NEC, UL), and provide engineering support to manufacturing, testing and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical power and controls.
• Knowledge of low/medium voltage power systems design and grounding schemes.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints for power control and automation.
• Experience creating drawings in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Familiarity with Electrical codes and UL listed standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project write-ups, specifications, drawings and correspondence.
• Develop detailed electrical designs for MV/LV switchgear and controls for gensets and utilities.
• Create BOM, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to specify components.
• Design power system control schemes including transfer control and SCADA development.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, NEC, UL and other codes.
