Job summary
Amentum is seeking an Electrical/Controls Designer for its Advanced Solutions Group, with options to base in Tullahoma, TN or Farmington Hills, MI. The role involves designing control cabinets, wiring diagrams, and 3D models for complex facilities across defense, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
Ideal candidates have CAD experience (Autodesk Electrical preferred) and strong knowledge of electrical hardware. Travel is modest; compensation ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
Qualifications
- US citizenship is required to comply with government customer requirements.
- Technical school training certification or one year of college with relevant coursework plus two years of related experience.
- Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Electrical preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical and hardware components including I/O modules, terminal blocks, control cabinets, and wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Design control cabinets and hardware.
- Develop wiring diagrams.
- Create 3D models of conduit and instruments.
- Support other electrical and controls-related designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet customer requirements.
