Job summary

Liebherr-America, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Control System Technician in Newport News, VA to support product development in software and hardware.

The Technician fabricates prototypes, tests electrical/mechanical assemblies, and defines standards for interfaces, with on-site or remote support as needed. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of five years related repair and maintenance experience on construction equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to support mechanical and electrical projects.
• Fabricate prototypes and pilot runs for testing and development.
• Perform time studies and implement corrective actions to improve production.
• Design and build tools to improve production processes and daily operations.
• Train production staff on new standards and procedures.
