Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to run an Electronics and PCB production and prototype facility for development and low-rate production efforts. You will support a disciplined engineering team on quick-turn, precision projects with diverse equipment.

The role is based on Dahlgren Naval Base and requires on-base presence. A Secret clearance is required to start, with eligibility for TS/SCI.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience as a skilled electrical engineering technician.
• Rigorous hand soldering experience including 0201, BGA, LGA, QFN.
• Experience operating multiple electronics manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work on base and support lab production and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex engineering technician support assignments.
• Construct and build devices and simple equipment.
• Develop developmental and production models following layouts and diagrams.
• Conduct tests and experiments with non-standard setups and procedures.
• Extract and compile data from notes, manuals, reports and tests.
• Develop information about operational failures and modifications.
• Work independently on mastered tasks with occasional guidance.
