Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to run day-to-day operations on large electrical construction projects with values over $100M.

You will manage change orders, track cash flow, and ensure project milestones are met, while coordinating with owners, contractors, and design professionals. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of construction experience, and are proficient in CPM scheduling, blueprints, and relevant software tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (EE or related) with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years construction experience with electrical contractors.
• Experience on projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addenda, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience with CPM Scheduling.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in producing precise plans/drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to solve problems.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDFs.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts as work is completed and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
