Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Project Leader 3 to drive large electrical projects from initiation through close, including bidding, design, installation and closeout. You will manage cross-functional teams, develop schedules and cost controls, and coordinate with customers on critical milestones.

The role requires deep CPM knowledge, experience with MS Project/Primavera P6, and strong leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across high-value facilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics preferably from an ABET accredited program or 9+ years of experience with a Master’s degree or 7+ years of experience with a Ph.D.
• Proficiency in CPM scheduling and General Contractor schedules.
• Accubid Estimating (or equivalent) directly related to electrical installations; Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of project management / project scheduling systems (MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Ability to create project schedules and schedule resources (hours).
• Ability to estimate project work and prepare proposals for customers.
• Understanding of earned value analysis and procurement processes.
• Executive-level communications and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale electrical construction projects from initiation through close.
• Lead proposal, design, solutioning, installation, and close phases.
• Prepare project documentation including requirements, manpower, layouts, schedules, and plans.
• Coordinate project kick-off meetings and develop work breakdown structures.
• Monitor baseline vs. actuals, progress reports, and cost controls.
• Schedule resources, manage permits and licenses, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Analyze data from multiple systems to track progress and cost.
