Job summary

MYR Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Mgr I for construction oversight in Madison, WI.

This role supports the Project Manager across service management duties, schedules, client communications, and safety compliance to deliver on-time, within-budget results. You will help develop look-ahead schedules in MS Projects or Primavera, prepare progress reports, and coordinate with crews, vendors, and field staff while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Estimator or Project Engineer in electrical construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalentexperience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in a wide range of service management duties.
• Proactively develop effective, efficient solutions to issues that may arise.
• Study bid specifications and drawings carefully.
• Communicate continuously with clients.
• Deliver on projects in a timely manner.
• Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
• Coordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments.
