Job summary

Fermilab is seeking an experienced LBNF/DUNE Electrical Construction Manager to join the Integration & Installation team for the Lead, South Dakota site. You will coordinate electrical infrastructure installation, schedules, and contractor work across the Far Detector and Cryogenics subprojects during installation and early execution phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; 10+ years experience.
• Alternatively, an associate degree with 15+ years heavy industrial/commercial experience.
• Experience with power infrastructure up to 15 kV.
• Ability to develop specifications and documents for small projects from inception to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all installation, procurement, and planning matters related to electrical infrastructure (up to 15 kV).
• Obtain comprehensive understanding of electrical, design, and construction documents for LBNF/DUNE facilities.
• Attend daily meetings with multiple teams for workday planning and coordination.
• Develop and review resource-loaded work schedules and plans.
• Write and review work packages and build plans for internal and external teams.
• Coordinate with architects/engineers and electrical contractors and SURF facilities contractors.
• Provide oversight of electrical installation contracts and QA alignment.
• Update 3D models with as-built information across CAD platforms for the far site.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering codes, standards, and QA policies.
• Perform field inspections and support procurement activities for electrical infrastructure.
