Job summary

Fermilab's Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Project team seeks a Technician III in Lead, South Dakota. The role provides technical support for mechanical and electrical systems, and environmental, safety, and health tasks while exploring complex instrumentation.

Under general supervision, you will fabricate, set up, operate, test, and modify equipment, perform ES&H duties, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or technical certificate) with related experience.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical or ES&H areas.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Willingness to work underground and at heights with safety training.

Responsibilities

• Support fabrication, setup, operation, testing, and modification of equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot in assigned area.
• Write and update procedures and maintain logs.
• Perform ES&H duties and safety inspections.
• Respond to operational needs and emergencies as required.
