Job summary

Integrated Home Care Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to determine costs and resources for electrical construction projects.

You will analyze plans, specs, and documents to quantify materials, labor, and equipment for accurate, competitive estimates that support decision-making and successful project execution. Responsibilities include reviewing project plans, performing takeoffs, maintaining a cost database, preparing detailed cost breakdowns and bids, and collaborating with project teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field.
• 1–3 years of Estimating experience.
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Background screen.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify components, wiring layouts, and equipment needed.
• Perform material takeoffs and estimate labor hours; obtain pricing and availability information from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain an up-to-date cost database with pricing for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bids; present estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising safety or quality.
• Assess risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate cost impacts.
• Maintain records of estimating activities and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Stay updated with industry trends, electrical codes, and technologies related to estimating.
