Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Project Manager – Electrical Service to lead the full lifecycle of commercial electrical service and small-to-medium projects in Western Washington. You'll own scoping, estimating, scheduling, billing, and client relationships across diverse facilities.

You will coordinate electricians, manage costs, support renewals, and ensure code compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience managing commercial electrical service work or electrical project management.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, Life Safety Codes, and WA electrical permitting requirements
• Experience developing T&M and lump sum estimates and proposals for commercial electrical projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); experience with ERP/construction management software such as ViewPoint or equivalent; Salesforce experience a plus
• Familiarity with facility maintenance programs, PM standards, and preventive maintenance planning
• Washington State electrical license (EL01) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of electrical service accounts and owner-direct projects from T&M to lump-sum up to $1M.
• Develop scopes of work, estimates and proposals for service accounts.
• Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of electricians and service technicians for service calls and planned maintenance.
• Manage job cost, WIP, and billing for projects; prepare change orders and monitor margins.
• Serve as primary client contact; support contract renewals and service expansions.
• Oversee permitting and AHJ inspections for project scope.
• Grow the electrical service account base through internal and external business development.
• Ensure safety standards compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection teams for multi-trade scopes.
• Provide technical oversight to field teams for quality and code compliance.
• Analyze service metrics and suggest operational improvements to profitability.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and building codes.
