Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional for Raleigh, NC on a contract basis. You will implement and continually improve EHS policies, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and manage records.

The role focuses on electrical construction hazards, JHAs, training, incident investigations, and partnering with field leadership to drive safe work. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, 3–8+ years EHS experience, OSHA 30, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3–8+ years EHS in construction or electrical contracting.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure alignment with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations.
• Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, and training records.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and jobsite walkthroughs.
• Identify electrical, fall protection, and confined space hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with leadership on reporting and compliance requirements.
• Interface with OSHA inspectors, clients, and regulatory agencies as needed.
