Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in Colorado.

You will assist with scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and quality assurance while ensuring safety and alignment with standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with office teams, field staff, and clients to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or managing industrial and/or commercial electrical construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in electrical construction project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Support the identification and allocation of labor, materials, and other resources necessary for successful project execution.
• Help assign tasks, establish expectations, and provide guidance to promote efficient resource utilization and achievement of project milestones.
• Monitor project risks, assist in resolving issues, and support adjustments to project plans to minimize disruptions and maintain progress.
• Implement and support quality control procedures to ensure projects meet established standards and requirements.
• Monitor construction activities to evaluate progress and identify concerns.
• Participate in regular project status meetings to review performance, schedules, and objectives.
• Help maintain project schedules by ensuring construction activities progress according to timelines.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure project documentation is accurate and maintained.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Proactively address client concerns and support a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote and support the IME culture of safety across all project activities.
